What will be in Fashion in 2011

Do you consider yourself a fashionista?  Are you someone who only wears the latest styles?  Do you keep your eyes on all the fashion magazines to see what accessories are going to be the hottest trends of the next season?  Are you shopping for the latest lines of clothing that you see your favorite stars wearing on the red carpet?  If so, then you should read on as we take a look at some of the trends that will be hot in 2011.  We’ll tell you if you can pull those Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses out of the drawer or if you can start wearing your Mikimoto pearls again this spring.  So without further adieu, let us take a look at what those in the know will be wearing this year.

Since we are knee deep in winter, let us go ahead and take a look at what is hot and in style right now.  Starting at the top, it looks like turtle necks and high collars are going to keep your neck warm and fashionable.  As we work our way down the body, you should take a harder look at ponchos as these are certainly the rage right now.  As for styles, the military look along with patchwork is now in fashion.  And for your feet, thigh-high boots are back and some would say they never left.

Taking a look farther into the future, we will glance quickly at spring and summer fashions.  This spring and summer expect bold colors and maybe a flashback to the styles of the 70s.  Don’t expect a lot of whites and look for a comeback when it comes to pleats.  And as for feet, it looks like animal themes will be arriving in the warm months.  No matter what you wear, just make sure it fits your style.  And if that means wearing your pearls with your running shoes, then I say go for it.

The Art of Ironing

Ironing is essential for every cloth that has come after being washed or worn. Ironing removes the wrinkles out of the clothes and gives them the same plane shiny look. Many people never get the whole process of ironing. Even after ironing, the clothes seem like more wrinkled than before. And some people spend hours trying to remove every wrinkle from their clothes.

There are a few tips that you can use to effectively get a dry clean like ironing skill and efficiency. When ironing, keep hangers close at hand so that as soon as you finish ironing, you can hang the clothes on top of the hangers and store it. For getting more speed, you can keep a piece of aluminum under the cloth, this will increase the area you iron and the head gets exchanged properly. The foil will help in reflecting the heat. When ironing a large number of mixed clothes, set them according to the ones that require the least heat to the ones requiring the highest temperature. If you prefer a perfect fit, you can place the ironing board cover on the top of the board when it is still damp. This will dry the clothes in place. When ironing clothes, the spots you iron, keep pushing them away. To avoid the puckering of cuffs, collars and hems, iron them from the wrong side first. Also for fabrics that are thick, iron them from the insides. For acrylic knits, iron using the dry function and let the spot dry before moving the clothes. This way, you will acid the knits from crackling. For corduroy that is badly wrinkled, you can use steam to unwrinkle it slightly by holding the cloth above the ironing table. Then you can use your normal ironing to smoothen the cloth out.  To revive velvet, press the right ride on to a fabric of the same type. These few tips could save you hundreds of dollars.

History of Dereon

Dereon is a fashion company originally started by Beyoncé Knowles and her mother Tina Knowles. First announced to the public in 2004 on the Oprah Winfrey Show, it is officially under the umbrella of the House of Dereon. The name Dereon pays homage to Tina Knowles mother Agnez Dereon. The tag line of Dereon is Couture Kick and Soul and it is also is homage to not only Agnez Dereon but to all three women. Couture is attributed to Tina Knowles, Agnez Dereon is attributed with the tag line of soul, and Beyoncé Knowles contributes the kick part of the tag line.

The line was an original concept that began when Tina Knowles was designing and sewing garments for Beyoncé’s now defunct girl group Destiny’s Child. Since the group was just starting out, which consisted of Beyoncé Knowles, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, they did not have access to high end couture clothing. The fact they were not stars and due to budget restraints, many of the group’s original outfits were designed and fitted by Tina Knowles herself. The group attracted a lot of attention due to those clothes because of their originality and difference in style from other groups at the time.

The House of Dereon, as it is known now, encompasses a global empire where everything from clothes to footwear to beauty items is sold with the face of Beyoncé Knowles. There are two clothing lines represented by the company; the higher end House of Dereon which tends to be sold in department stores and Dereon which tends to be marketed toward the younger teen and young adult market with a lower price point. Recently it was announced that House of Dereon will also be launching a bedding line which will feature European bohemian inspired colors and prints, patchwork pieces, metallic threads, diamond quilt stitching, and other feminine dressmaking details.
